Hello, everyone, my name is Sarah and I’m the sister-in-law of Michelle, one of the three sisters behind Diamonds or Pearls. I am so thrilled to be a part of their first, I hope annual, fall house tour!!! I have always admired the decorating skills and style this whole family is blessed with, and to be part of their first tour means a lot to me!!
Fall is such a special time of the year- I especially love the chilly evenings around a bonfire, picking apples, getting out fall sweaters, going on hayrides, drinking hot tea on the porch, and decorating my old house with pumpkins!!
My home was built in 1895 and I adore the wavy glass, creaking old stairs, tall ceilings, hand carved woodwork, and stained glass windows.
I have always loved old things; antique books, mirrors, dishes, and piano music are some of my favorites to collect. Here is some of my collections of antique ironstone dishes.
I think an important decorating rule is to not hide away your collections and pieces you love, but to use and enjoy them everyday!
