Nursery Details!

After weeks of procrastination, the nursery overhaul has begun!  I’ve waited a while to start this project because right now this room is my husband’s office.  But, since I’m already 28 weeks pregnant (crazy how time flies) it was time to get started.

I don’t plan to have a theme for the nursery, I just plan to keep it neutral where she can continue to grow with it. I found a gray crib at Pottery Barn, and plan to add pops of color with accessories throughout.

I’ve gathered a few items here and there, but still have lots of searching to do.  One of my first finds is the adorable animal prints that I purchased on Etsy (“CocoAndJames”).  Target had the perfect frames to make these photographs one of my favorites!

Before I decorate with all the pretty stuff, the room had to be emptied, nail holes filled, and a fresh coat of paint added.  After looking at what seemed like 30 different shades of gray, I decided on Sherwin Williams‘ “Colonnade Gray.”

A sweet family friend of my husband handmade this wooden giraffe for the nursery.  The pillows were found at Nordstrom and Pottery Barn Kids, to add color and texture to the room.

My fur baby, Cheddar, stayed up late one evening to help me edit pictures.  I hope he’s as excited as we are to be adding a little girl to the family.  One thing for sure is that he loves hiding underneath her crib!
