There are so many things I love about fall… Going to the local pumpkin patch, carving jack-o-lanterns, hayrides, bonfires, and of course, s’mores by the fire. Rather than making the usual autumn desserts, I thought it would be fun to put together a s’mores bar for guests. I must say it was a hit for all ages. My son, with the biggest sweet tooth in the house, asked me if I could keep it out for him to enjoy every day when he got home from school. 🙂
I love wood bowls and have so many special ones made by my father-in-law. This particular one is beautiful and has a unique shape. I thought it was an excellent choice for holding the marshmallows for my bar.
TIP: To keep the marshmallows from sticking together, sprinkle powdered sugar on them and make sure they are coated before placing them together in the bowl. It works perfectly every time.
Any planter or vase could be used to hold the sticks. I found this one at Target.

This marble serving tray with brass handles was a must when I saw it. It’s highly versatile and perfect for holding the peanut butter cups for my bar.

I will definitely be pulling this s’mores bar together again. Next time I will use a variety of chocolates. It could be dangerous!!! I hope you all enjoy the nice cool weather and fall evenings by the fire.
