A Pineapple Boat is a Super easy & fun way to cut and serve a pineapple at your next party!
Aloha friends! One of our favorite things to do on Oahu is head to the Dole Plantation and eat their yummy pineapple ice cream, make our way through the pineapple garden maze, and browse the plantation country store.
While walking through the store, I listened to a presentation on how to cut and serve a pineapple. We eat a lot of pineapples, and this was the best information I could have received! The great thing is there is no serving dish required! You use the pineapple rind. I think this is such a clever & cute way to serve a pineapple! And it takes about 5 minutes to do with only 5 easy steps.
Step 1:
Twist off the leaves of the pineapple and then cut off the ends.
Step 2:
Using a butcher knife cut the pineapple into four pieces.
Step 3:
Cut the pineapple down the middle to remove the core.
Step 4:
Using a paring knife, separate the fruit from the outer skin and inner spikes following the natural contour of the fruit.
Step 5:
Cut into little pieces for serving and then separate to make a lovely presentation.
Super easy & so cute! For your next party or little get-together, this is such crowd pleaser, and everyone will want a step-by-step on how to make this adorable pineapple boat.
Enjoy! Mahalo!
