Happy Holidays! Welcome to my traditional Christmas in Arlington, VA. My husband built our home 17 years ago and we have made it a welcoming place for all of our friends and family to gather and enjoy. I’m Taffy, and I’m happy to show you around my home for the MW Designs Christmas Home Tour.
Winter Wonderland Home Tour
I would say my style is traditional with a twist of french country elements. My Christmas decor is kept very simple with fresh greenery, simple arrangements, and my collection of Steinbach Nutcrackers.

Our family owns a restaurant in Arlington, VA, called the Green Pig Bistro. You will notice many pig ornaments and arrangements throughout our home.
Meet Gertrude, our 11-year-old English Bulldog. You will find her posing in a couple of pictures.
Kitchen
I have a family of chefs and we love to make big dinners. Everyone enjoys pitching in and cooking around the holidays and on Thanksgiving, we once made three different types of Turkeys.
Backyard
When building our home years ago, we worked hard to save this Willow Oak in our backyard.
My flower studio is my happy place where I make arrangements for friends and family members.
I love that all of my kids made ornaments growing up in school. I would have to say that one of my favorite memories was when my son, Scot, was in kindergarten. He took a yellow pipe cleaner, wrapped it around his finger, and told me he made a candle ornament! He was so proud of it! I proudly put it on my tree every year and all these years later, he still looks for it.
