Hi guys and welcome to my Christmas home tour in VA! I am excited to join Michelle and be a part of this group of talented ladies. Christmas is by far my favorite holiday to decorate, and this year I wanted to bring in all the coziness inside! I have four trees, yes 4! I know it may sound a little crazy, but I love the magic feel of Christmas, so the more trees, the better, right?
Twelve Days of Christmas Tour
Our main tree is in our living room, we got this tree last year from Home Depot’s Martha Stewart line, and although it’s not flocked, it has some random sparkly flocking throughout. This year I wanted to go for an elegant and muted color palette. I used green, white, silver, and a little gold. I love how the contrast of the green and white stand out! I tried to incorporate these colors into the whole living room décor by adding earth tone colors to the mantle as well.
Moving on to the kitchen where our kids’ tree is. We have this tradition that every year we give each child an ornament; it could be anything from a fun place we visited that year or just something that connects to their personality. I think it’s so fun to see them decorate their own tree. This tree is also full of fun school ornaments that they made, along with some traditional red and green ornaments.
I kept the kitchen theme flowing with more traditional touches while adding some reds to it.
Our third tree was actually a hand me down from my mom a couple of years ago, I think she bought it and ended up wanting to return it, but instead, I took it and put it in our sitting room. I always have fun with this tree and love to switch it up every year!
This year, I went with colors to coordinate with the décor in the room. I had recently bought some new blush pillows for the sofa, so I decided to add that color to the tree and the Christmas décor. Some pink and blue ornaments from Target and Hobby Lobby were also added for color.
My dining room is right next to this room and the wall color is navy, so I thought adding some fun blues would tie both rooms together nicely!
I went pretty simple on my dining room tablescape and just used a garland with some trees as a centerpiece. I love tablescapes so I will probably be playing with it some more throughout the season but for now, I love the simplicity of it.
I decorated our bar cart with a hot cocoa station because what’s better than hot cocoa during the holiday season!
I had never thought about adding Christmas décor to my master bedroom until our tree last year was dying, some branches were falling off and most of the lights were not working. Instead of getting rid of it once we got our new one, I decided to add it to a corner in my room and hide the part of the falling branches while adding more lights to it. I think It was the perfect addition to our room; it made it so much cozier!
After seeing how much I liked to incorporate Christmas in our room, I decided to sprinkle a little bit of Christmas on the kids’ room, and they actually loved it, even my teen was cool enough to add Christmas décor to his room.
Our favorite holiday tradition is that on Christmas Eve, we open one present which usually consists of Christmas PJs, a movie, and candy. We eat, watch and wear it all that night.:)
I hope you are enjoying the holiday season with loved ones and are surrounded by love and joy! Thank you for letting me share my Christmas home with you!

Tomorrow on the “Twelve Days of Christmas” tour is Jocelyn Brooks from VA. Jocelyn says she decorates for her two children, and all the family and friends she hosts. Her style is traditional & neutral, so she loves adding the pops of red around the holidays. You are going to enjoy seeing her collection of Christmas trees and Santas throughout her beautiful home.
