Store-Bought Cake Makeover
Many of us have a busy schedule and may not have the time for baking a beautiful cake when entertaining. I have three simple DIY tips for a store-bought cake makeover without the hefty price tag. This literally took me ten minutes, cost under twenty dollars, and there was no baking involved. It was a win-win for me!!!
3 super easy steps to your store-bought cake makeover
I took a block of room- temperature white chocolate, and with a vegetable peeler shaved it to make small curls onto the middle of the cake. It was super easy and only took a couple of minutes to do.
Next, I placed the yummy Reese’s cup heart on the top side of the cake. You could use so many different items to set in this spot, but I wanted something edible and in the shape of a heart.
Last, but not least, I placed the strawberries around the bottom edge of the cake and added a few to the top to give it a finished look.
Voila! Super easy and affordable Valentine’s Day Cake!
No need to spend a lot of money on a cake or hours in the kitchen baking. With just a few DIY tips, you can make a store- bought cake your little masterpiece.
Be sure to check back next week, I’ll be revealing my Valentine’s Day coffee for two and this cute little cake may just be on display.
