With the holidays just around the corner, I am sure most of us are getting our lists ready for the biggest shopping season of the year! This is a job in itself, and we try to plan, so we don’t have too much last minute shopping. Often, our favorite gifts aren’t the most expensive ones; they are the simple ones that have been wrapped with love. The attention to detail and personalized touches can make such a statement before the gift is even opened. Our mother has always told us, “it’s all in the presentation,” and we try to keep that in mind every time we are wrapping a gift.

With using two types of paper, our mother shows how you can wrap many gifts and give each one a different feel, just by changing the ribbon and accessories. She always adds that special touch to every gift she gives.
1. Simple & Rustic
We love the simplicity of this gift. This is such a cheap way to make a significant impact! She uses a small striped paper, twine, antique number cards, and natural greenery. You could make your cards, collect antique ones, or use a printable to stick on your gift. There is also nothing prettier than fresh greenery! Just trim from a tree in your yard or take a little hike in the woods and let the creativity flow.

2. Traditional Elegance
With using a simple silver paper, she incorporated a green silk ribbon and an antique brooch to give the gift a classic, elegant look. She has a collection of brooches from antique stores and adds them to her gifts for extra glam and sparkle.

3. Something Old & Something New
Using the same silver paper, she mixes two types of ribbon with a fun new accessory and an old photo. Mixing something old and something new to the gift gives it some added character. We love the modern touch next to an antique photo. You could search antique stores for postcards and photos.

4. Monochromatic
Who says you have to use multiple colors to make a statement?!?! Using silver ribbon to match the paper, she ties a beautiful bow and adds a fun, quirky accessory to the top of it. This is such an easy way to give the gift an added touch, and it’s fun to be creative with a matching accessory. Some other ideas may be silver bells, one large ornament, or a homemade gift tag.

Turn on your favorite holiday movie, make yourself a cup of hot cocoa, and have fun dressing up your gifts to give them that personal touch for the holidays. Remember, it is all in the presentation!
