There is nothing we love more than getting to meet up with each other for a family getaway. We decided on Whistler, B.C. so we could do a little spring skiing and explore a part of Canada we hadn’t spent much time in. It was the perfect location for dining, relaxing, a little shopping, and scenic views in all directions.
The views at Whistler-Blackcomb are absolutely breathtaking. They reminded us of the beauty of Alaska where we all lived over a number of years.
Shopping
We stayed in a condo in the heart of the village conveniently located near shops and restaurants. We had so much fun trying out all of the colorful soaps, lotions, and oils at Lush. (www.lush.com)
For all of you hat aficionados! Whistler Hat Gallery has hundreds of options in stylish hats. From the streets of New York to the Australian Outback, you will definitely find something to add to your accessory closet.
Eating
I think we gained about ten pounds heading to this amazing bakery (www.purebread.ca) every day. They had the most unique baked goods and everything was so fresh and yummy. It was the perfect spot to end our day in this charming village.
We hope you enjoyed seeing some of our family vacations. We missed the Spahls on this trip, but hopefully, they can make the next one. This is something we look forward to doing a couple times a year since we don’t get to see each other on a daily basis. We love leaving the stresses of life behind and making memories together that will last a lifetime.
