Hello, friends and welcome to Diamonds or Pearls 2017 Christmas Home Tour! My name is Keli, and I’m one of the sisters behind the blog Diamonds or Pearls. We are so thankful to be having another Christmas tour this year to get everyone excited for the holidays. Many different styles of decor and family traditions will be showcased, and we are beyond thankful for all the ladies taking time out of their busy schedules to participate!
Please join me as I share with you our new home in Virginia. We moved into this beautiful house in June 2017 and loved the area (it also helps that my sister Michelle is less than two miles down the road). A few of my favorite things about this home is the flow, oversized windows, and tall ceilings. As soon as we moved in I could already picture the space all decorated for the holidays.
As I walk you through, you will see my glittery tree, fresh greenery and little one hopping in and out of the pictures! 🙂
My favorite colors to decorate with for the holidays are silver, gold, and turquoise. I’ve used this color scheme for the past three years and still haven’t gotten tired of it. I kept my decor simple with small trees placed throughout and touches of black and white ribbon. The main tree I added my go-to glitter and mercury glass ornaments!
This is the first year that I’ve put my tree in a basket to give it some height because of the 10 ft. Ceilings. I needed to make my 7 ft. tree work until I got my dream flocked tree. It also helps keep my little girl from tearing everything off the bottom of it.
I’m still in need of more curtains and another oversized rug to layer in the living room, but I love how it’s turned out so far.

My sweet Wheaten Terrier, Cheddar kept jumping on the couch while taking photos, so instead of re-fluffing the pillows he’s making an appearance on the tour;)
I kept the dining room very simple this year. With two rooms adjoining, I just wanted to enjoy the view of our Christmas tree. My favorite part of the room is the oversized bay windows!
These adorable napkins are part of the Magnolia Homes collection.
You can find them here->Magnolia Home Napkins
This odd space is between the kitchen and family room. To fill it and get some extra seating, I added this bench and oversized chalkboard. By adding a wreath and some festive words, it’s an easy way to change the feel of the space for each holiday.
The area we live in the most is the family room. I love the open concept of this space and how it connects to the kitchen. It is an excellent area for entertaining and hanging out. To make this area feel more festive I added some fresh garland on the fireplace and a large wreath on the cabinet.
I’m not sure what it is about this little tree, but I’m obsessed!
I just ordered this table to complete the corner in my daughter’s room. I can’t wait till we start having little tea parties!! This space just makes me happy:)
There is nothing prettier than enjoying a Christmas tree lit up every night! This is one of my favorite things about the holidays.
My family and I would love to wish you a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Thanks for stopping by for my part of the tour.
Tomorrow on the tour is Kim Hooker. She has a beautiful home with a lot of attention to detail. You don’t want to miss it!
