Our latest high-end & drugstore beauty faves
MASCARA
L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara: If you are looking for a cheaper mascara, this is an excellent choice. It is volumizing and makes your lashes full. It has a dark rich black color and is a building mascara.
Chanel Le Volume De Chanel Mascara: This mascara achieves instant volume and makes your lashes look longer and thicker. We love this one because it doesn’t flake or smudge and hurt your eyes. We feel like this mascara is definitely worth the money.
BRONZER
Milani Baked Bronzer: If you don’t want to spend much on a Bronzer, this is one to try. It adds a subtle glow without being orange or cakey. We love this cheap brand you can find at Target, Walgreens, CVS, and Wal-mart.
BECCA Shadow & Light Bronze/Contour Perfector: We talked about this bronzer in a post months ago, and you can read all about it here. We have been using this for a few years now and haven’t found one we love more. It gives a sun-kissed look without making you look orange. 🙂 Every once in a while you can find this on sale but is sells out quickly.
BLUSH
Milani Baked Blush: We can’t believe how much we love this blush! It is not too bright and gives the perfect peachy glow. This brand carries many different colors, and we haven’t found a cheaper blush to compare to the high-end blushes.
NARS: I think almost everyone we know wears NARS Orgasm. It shimmers and shines and gives the perfect glow!!! We are loving it!
Dry Shampoo
Husk Coconut Dry Shampoo: This is a new purchase we made recently and we have been pleasantly surprised by how much we like it. The coconut scent smells amazing and it doesn’t leave that white residue that other cheap dry shampoos do. It is also free of sulfates, parabens, phthalates, gluten and artificial colors. It comes in other scents, plus a volumizing one, and can be found in drugstores.
Klorane Dry Shampoo: This is Keli’s tried and true dry shampoo! You instantly get the volume & texture without the white residue. It has a light scent and worth the money if you are wanting to splurge.
Exfoliants
St. Ives Apricot Scrub: Years ago when we lived in Alaska, we used to get the driest skin, and a friend told us about this cheap scrub. She said we didn’t need to invest in anything expensive and to give this a shot. We truly do like it, and the price is great too.
Dr. Brandt microdermabrasion exfoliant: This is one of our favorite finds this past year. It is pricey but will leave your skin feeling so fresh and smooth. It seems to even work well on sensitive skin.
We thought this would be an excellent way to show you what we have used and are trying at the moment. We will continue to keep you updated on all of our beauty favorites.
We are currently on the hunt for the perfect full coverage foundation that goes on velvety but so far no luck. For years we loved Chanel Perfection Lumiere but they stopped making it, and their new formula doesn’t go on as nicely. If you have any suggestions, please let us know.

Where do you purchase Dr. Brandt’s? Pricey but cheaper than a peel.
Always love you ideas and finds.
Thank you

Hi Phyllis! There is a direct link underneath the product in the description that will take you to the site. Another place to purchase is eBay, sometimes you can find it a bit cheaper, since it’s on the pricey end. Let us know if you need any help. I use this product 2-3 times a week and love it.
