Valentine’s Day Coffee for Two
“It’s Valentine’s Day again! This is the time of year to pull out the red and pink to celebrate with someone you love.”
I decided to mix things up and plan something a little different this year, “A Valentine’s Day Coffee for Two”!! This is a perfect casual party for a significant other or a great friend you would like to celebrate. Girlfriends need to be celebrated too!!!
It was an easy tablescape to put together and I just wanted it to be simple, cute, and chic with plenty of coffee and yummy dessert. Doesn’t everyone love to be surrounded with dessert?!?!
The Unexpected!
With adding a little blue to mix things up, it gives an unexpected touch to the table. I found these adorable blue flowered plates at HomeGoods and layered them on top of a simple white plate I bought at PotteryBarn.
Beautiful Ribbon!!
Adding ribbon to hold the silverware is a simple but cute touch. I collect ribbon throughout the year to use on tablescapes or that last minute present I may need to wrap. A great time to buy beautiful ribbon is at the end of every season when it goes on sale.
Keeping the Food Simple!!
If you missed my post on how to give a store-bought cake a makeover, you can get all the details here. This was simple to make and took me under twenty minutes.

My white coffee cups are from PotteryBarn and they are my favorite to drink coffee out of because of their size. White is such a great color to have in your cabinet because it goes with everything.

Party Favor!!
This cute party favor is from Target and all I did was add a touch of striped ribbon.
Remember, keeping it simple will allow you to have a fabulous time with a good friend. Buy a store- bought cake and give it a quick makeover, add a few simple touches to the table, & relax and eat lots of dessert! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Valentine’s Day!

Thank you so much for posting this! I have the whole set of plates like yours with the teal colors. I have been feeling like I am limited in the way I use them, so they have just stayed in my china cabinet. Thanks again for giving me a wonderful idea!!!
