Welcome and Merry Christmas!!! My name is Sarah and I would like to welcome you to my home, the final home on the Diamonds or Pearls First Annual Christmas Home Tour. Please come on in and let me show you around my home.
I love the traditional red and green colors at Christmas, but this year I decided to take my inspiration from these vintage glass ornaments and go with a pastel and silver color scheme. I always try to pick up vintage ornaments when I see them in antique malls. They add such a pop of color in your decorating, so I have them all over my home. Plus, they’re safer from my three cats when they are not on my Christmas tree.

This antique secretary desk is actually my Christmas present this year. Since it is a little hard to wrap, I got to decorate it for Christmas. Merry Christmas to me!
As I stated in the fall home tour, I collect antique mirrors and paint them all white. When I first decorated my staircase this year, I did not add lights to the garland. I liked it, but it was definitely missing something. After adding white lights that are reflected in all the mirrors, I am happy with the way it all looks.
We bought our very tall family Christmas tree from a family friend and never dreamed that it would be too tall for our old homes tall ceilings! The very top of the tree peeks through the staircase- in fact it’s much easier to decorate the top of the tree from the top of the stairs!
We have quite a collection of ornaments. Every year each of my three kids gets an ornament from their grandma and from Santa. I like to add mercury glass ornaments, too, to reflect the light and add a vintage touch. I pick up vintage Christmas postcards any time I see them in antique malls and I just stick them wherever I can find a spot in the tree. That gets harder every year!

I collect antique dishes, and red and white transfer ware is my favorite. I love the way the red looks against these vintage ornaments!

My two girls love having a Christmas tree in their bedroom. It’s completely their job to put it up and no antique ornaments on their tree.
This is the first Christmas that we have had a tree in our bedroom. I can’t imagine why we never did this before. I love laying in bed and going to sleep by the light of the tree.
I recently painted my french doors black. I was afraid I would hate it and it would be hard to paint over again, but I love the black. This is the first Christmas I’ve had it against my dining room tree and I like the depth it adds to my otherwise pastel room.
Thank you so much for visiting our home!! We hope you have a wonderful Christmas!
