One of my favorite things about living in New Jersey is being able to take the train into New York City. Being from a small town, something about the hustle and bustle of a city is very exciting. There is never-ending site seeing, restaurants, and people watching; lets be honest, everyone loves to people watch! We love making day trips and trying to pick a new and exciting thing to experience, which led to a way overdue date night, a New York City Broadway matinee (Wicked) and dinner.
Before the Broadway show began, we came across a little gem, called Bibble and Sip. I was instantly intrigued by the name before I even stepped foot inside. The interior was urban, cozy, and had a large window for people watching (again). The cafe sat right across the street from the Gershwin Theatre, which made for a perfect stopping point to grab a snack before the show. All snacks were homemade, so we opted for the quiche, chocolate chip cookie, and green apple hot tea. They are known for their cream puffs, but I was too full to attempt. Another trip to the city, we will have to make a special stop and try the desserts, because everything was beyond delicious.
Wicked was just as fantastic as I had imagined it would be. I loved staring at all the intricate costumes as much as I enjoyed listening to the beautiful singing voices of the talented actors and actresses.
Being the foodie that my husband is, I get to experience some incredible restaurants and savor the culinary experiences. This date night was no exception! Estela was on his list, so of course, we had to give it a try. Dinner did not disappoint, and neither did the atmosphere. I loved the charm and decor inside, cozy and inviting.
Looking forward to whatever adventure our next trip to the City brings!
