Keto Loaded Deviled Eggs
A few months ago, I started making changes to my diet and focusing on keto-friendly recipes. I am feeling more healthy with this new keto lifestyle. Cutting the carbs and sugar has helped me gain more energy and balance in my life.
These recipes are all quick & easy to make, which is always something I look for when cooking.
Great appetizer when Entertaining
I think when entertaining, the thought of unhealthy finger foods come to mind, but that doesn’t have to be the case. There are a ton of different recipes that are keto- friendly and this loaded deviled egg recipe is one of my favorites.
Keto Loaded Deviled Eggs
Ingredients
- 6 large eggs
- 5 slices bacon
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 teaspoon prepared yellow mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese, for topping
- 1-2 green onions, chopped, for topping
Instructions
- Place the eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil, then immediately remove the pan from the heat. Cover with a lid and allow the eggs to sit in the hot water for about 14 minutes for a firm yolk.
- Fry the bacon in a skillet over medium heat. When finished, set aside on a paper towel-lined plate to cool. Then finely chop the bacon.
- Carefully remove the eggs from the hot water and place in a bowl filled with ice water to halt the cooking. When the eggs are cool, peel them.
- Cut the eggs in half lengthwise. Remove the yolks and place them in a medium-sized bowl. Add the mayonnaise, mustard, garlic powder, two-thirds of the bacon and salt and pepper to taste; mix well.
- Fill each egg with the egg yolk mixture and then top the filled egg white halves with the reserved bacon, cheddar cheese, and green onions.
- Eat right away or store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Each week I discover new keto-friendly recipes and I look forward to sharing them with you on the blog.
