Welcome. My name is Laura Kelly and I am a realtor with a passion and love of interior design. As a mother of three children “home is where my heart is.” Fostering an environment that is warm, welcoming and also fabulous is a never-ending goal! It’s my pleasure to be included in this Christmas feature and share my particular style.
Our home is located in Chantilly, Virginia, in a small charming community called Avonlea. It’s designed after a European village.
Entryway
I love Christmas and anything Turquoise. Therefore it is no surprise that I have incorporated the color scheme into my home as well as my decor.
Dining Room & Living Room
I kept with the color scheme of my everyday decor. My style is more modern/transitional with a coastal vibe using monochromatic whites and blues.
Kitchen
In our kitchen, I simply add a touch of Christmas to existing items.
Family Room
I kept traditional colors in this space. Many of the ornaments are very special to me and my children, and we always enjoy pulling them out each year.
The magic of the Lights!
One of my favorite traditions is decorating the tree with my kids. They enjoy hearing the history and stories behind some of our special ornaments and seeing their picture & pet ornaments from over the years. We also look forward to driving around to see all the beautiful Christmas lights.

How beautiful! The little pops of teal/aqua/turquoise are what kept capturing my eye–probably because I do the same thing, just not anywhere a beautifully as this. Merry Christmas!
