Hello friends! My name is Heldy and I live in South Florida. Welcome to our Holiday Home Tour.
Foyer
This is our Foyer. I like to keep this area fairly simple by adding garland and fairy lights to the mirror. This year I only brought out three pieces of our nativity and set them on this pedestal.
Family Room
Our family room is where we spend most of our down time. We love to watch tv together as a family. Simple touches of greenery, vintage bells, candles, and cozy throws are some of our essentials.
Sitting Room
This is the space that has undergone the most changes in the past couple of weeks. This year we were so excited to be gifted this electric fireplace by my parents, who no longer had room for it. It is exactly what we wanted for this cozy space. Now I finally have a mantel to dress up during the holidays and a spot for our stockings.
We also placed the tree we affectionately call “The Glass Tree” here, adorned with crystal garland and glass baubles.
Dining Room
The Dining Room is where our main tree sits! This beloved 9-foot tree we have had since 2007. If you follow me, you know I used warm tones during fall this year. I love how they looked so much in my home that I continued them into my Christmas decor.
I brought in plenty of magnolia leaves and stems, vintage gold, copper, and espresso ornaments. I even used some dried florals I had from my fall decor. I then finished it off with a piece of rich espresso velvet at the base of the tree.
I had a hard time finding ornaments in the colors I wanted, so I did a few DIY’s with paint and aged some old ones with rub & buff.
Our Christmas Tablescape
Kitchen & Breakfast Nook
I mostly used greenery and more magnolia leaves in the kitchen and breakfast nook and kept it very minimal.
I found that cute marble Christmas tree behind the range at HomeGoods.
Hallway
I added a simple wreath to the hallway mirror.
My large clam shell filled with magnolia stems and these pretty mercury glass lights finished things off.
Master Bedroom
This is the first year I used a flocked tree in our bedroom. I love that it’s a softer look and blends so well with the softer linens and pillows I chose for the bed.
I filled this tree with the mercury glass ornaments I have collected over the years, and I added some simple taupe colored ones too.
You know my love of satin ribbon, so on this tree, I just draped both taupe satin and gray velvet ribbons and just let them fall where they wanted to.
As a final detail, I added some beautiful butterflies to the tree, a simple garland over the headboard and mirror, and a snowy ornament under a cloche on the nightstand.
Daughter’s Bedroom
My daughter’s bedroom is where I used Lavenders this year. I kept the decor simple, using flocked pieces and focusing more on the ornaments for her tree. I placed the tree in a cement planter, which I think adds some interest.
Guest Bathroom
A recurring theme this Christmas through the common areas of our home are Magnolia leaves. Here in the guest bathroom, I used some long stems inside this glass urn, and some candles on a pretty tray dress up this space for the Holiday.
My favorite tradition is visiting my parent’s mountain cabin for the holidays.
