Hello! My name is Danielle and I am so thrilled to welcome you into our “Silo Winter Escape”, please sit back and enjoy the subtle feels of Christmas!
Silo Winter Escape
My husband Josh and I built The Silo on our property two years ago to share with others the calm and serene feel our property invites. In The Silo, the uniqueness and beauty is endless. From custom brick walls, 100-year-old logs, custom architectural ceiling, to a large walk in marble shower! And it doesn’t stop there.. a two-story deck over a new pond with an overhanging hammock, two swings, a fire pit, and a claw foot tub. You have so much to take in!!
Main Living Area
This year I wanted to add a touch of the holidays for our guests to enjoy! To me, Christmas is a smell, a feeling.. so when entering, the first thing to hit you is the smell of Christmas pine throughout the silo.
I enjoy things that flow with the existing decor. So I kept things somewhat simple with greens, blacks, golds, and pops of Santa here and there.

I have even added a fresh wreath in the shower to add to the Christmas smells as your shower steams!
Outdoor Area
Being a mom to one crazy 6-year-old boy is by far my biggest blessing. As a kid, I always told myself that I would be “that mom” that decorates for each holiday. I don’t know that he notices, but in case he ever does, I will continue to get out all the things for every holiday!
Enjoy the glow of the lights at night!
Picking just one favorite tradition is hard. Some of my favorite traditions around Christmas are going to cut down our tree at the local tree farm, listening to Christmas music as we decorate the house, and making cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve in our new jammies.
I hope you all enjoyed this tour and have a Merry Christmas,

Tomorrow on the 2020 Christmas Home tour is Melissa from Virginia. Her beautiful traditional style has a mix of fox hunting elements. Melissa’s Hunt Country Christmas was inspired by her passion for her family, horses, dogs, whiskey, and the fox family that lives in her backyard.
